Full Job Description

The EMEA Indirect Tax Manager will report to the Global Indirect Tax Leader and be responsible for supporting all indirect tax matters in the EMEA Region.Responsibilities will include:

  • Support with all indirect compliance and advisory matters.
  • Support the strategic approach of the company for indirect tax matters in EMEA including the compliance processes, VAT recovery, ESG taxes and business technical support
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, building strong cross-functional relationships and operate as a business partner to enable new business initiatives and manage risks and opportunities as they may arise.
  • Partner with and support to the global shared service centres whose responsibilities include indirect compliance and audit support and are key part of the indirect tax function.
  • Manage outsourced service providers where we require additional technical, process or project support.
  • Partner with the tax technology team to drive transformation projects and ERP implementations and ensure continued process optimisation and efficiencies.
  • Support with tax authority communications including for tax controversy and audits.
  • Support indirect tax matters relating to business transformation and supply chain projects including M&A integration activities.
  • Keep up-to-date with legislation developments and communicate to the EMEA teams, UK preferred but will also consider candidates located in Poland

  • May include up to 5% domestic/international travel

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferably with a major in accounting, finance or tax from an accredited institution and relevant qualifications in accounting and tax.
  • Significant and relevant indirect tax experience preferably also with 'Big 4' background.
  • Indirect tax knowledge with a broad EMEA scope, including understanding of international technical topics and the interaction between local statutory filings and tax returns.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and desire to collaborate across the function and organization.
  • Experience in a large multinational with significant physical supply chains.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results.
  • Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance.
