Full Job Description

The role will provide leadership and operational management of the NWL IFR, Non- Contracted Activity (NCA), Planned Procedures with a Threshold (PPwT), and Healthcare Abroad Application processes. The postholder will operationally manage the IFR and NCA panels, ensure continual development and compliance with the required governance processes.

There will be a requirement to lead and co-ordinate service review and audits of panel decisions to inform the continuous development of the IFR Service and PPwT policy. The role will need to ensure operational and strategic risks are managed and mitigated against, escalating issues as appropriate.

Key Duties

Lead and operationally manage the NW London IFR, NCA, PPwT, and Healthcare Abroad Application processes

Manage the IFR and NCA panels in delivery, development and function ensuring the required governance process are always followed

Lead and co-ordinate service review and audits of panel decisions to inform the continuous development of the IFR Service and PPwT policy

Ensure operational and strategic risks are managed and mitigated against, escalating issues as appropriate.

Manage the IFR administrative team to ensure PPwT, NCA and IFR process are undertaken within the KPI turnaround times and comply with the Standard operating procedures and the governance framework.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated and IFR Operations Manager for an exciting and challenging opportunity within the Individual Funding Request (IFR) and Clinical Policy Development Team. This role requires excellent prioritisation and management skills and preferably some knowledge of the IFR process.

The Individual Funding Request (IFR) process is a statutory function and decisions are made on treatment funding for individual patients covering all prescribed services. The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional, and well-coordinated IFR service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation, ensuring the process is consistent, fair and equitable for our NWL population.

Effective communication, stakeholder engagement and strong organisational skills will be essential for service delivery and achieving the vision of improved health outcomes and reduced health inequalities for our NWL population.
