Individual Needs Assistant

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Individual Needs Assistant (up to 32.50 hours per week) to work in our Year 1/2 Class.

The role will include working 1-1 and with small groups of children. The working times will be up to 5 days per week starting in September 2024

• Support the pupils learning, physical, social, emotional and communication needs within the classroom and during social activities.


• Have a good knowledge and experience of the needs of children with Special Educational Needs such as Speech, Language and Communication, Cognition and Learning and Autism.


• Be able to work collaboratively as part of our team and with other professionals to maximise the pupils' development and communication skills and deliver programmes to support the children's needs.


• Be resilient and able to work independently, flexibly and use their own initiative to respond to the children's needs.


• Be committed to inclusion and have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
