Full Job Description
- Support the individual pupil as guided by the class teacher and the Head of Learning Enhancement.
- Work with the individual pupil as part of a small group of children to support specific lessons.
- Undertake administrative tasks and adapt resources as necessary to support the pupil.
- Encourage the pupil to progress at the appropriate level both academically and socially, enabling the pupil to feel secure and happy.
- Liaise with other specialist teachers and professionals as appropriate.
- Support the teacher in looking after the wellbeing and pastoral needs of the pupil.
- Communicate effectively with the teacher and other professionals, as well as the parents.
- Ensure full commitment to the wider care of all pupils at school, including absolute commitment to safeguarding.
The position is to support a 5-year-old pupil in Year 1 with 1:1 assistance as he takes part in the school day. Those with experience of working to support children with special education needs and/or relevant qualifications are invited to apply. Experience of neurodiversity and difficulty with self-regulation is particularly relevant., Essential: - Qualified and / or experienced with special educational needs support.
