Full Job Description

To support the Deputy Head of Induction & Statutory & Mandatory training in the delivery of an outstanding Induction training programme.
To advise managers and staff, across all professions, on Induction and training requirements, The post holder will lead on the design, delivery and evaluation of all corporate and bespoke Induction to meet the needs of the Trust.

The post holder will also manage the Training and Development Induction Lead Administrator and the Training and Development Administrator

+ Deliver high quality training and group facilitation.
+ Provide information, advice and guidance to managers and staff on the Induction training requirements for all professions across on Trust.
+ Liaise with SMEs and trainers in the Trust regarding programmes and course content.
+ Develop effective and support relationships with the Recruitment team and HCSW Education team to improve communication and enable effective planning of induction training.
+ Provide excellent questioning and listening skills, with the ability to elicit information in a non-judgemental manner, summarising information and reflecting this back.
+ Display a confident, proactive collaborative approach, with positive interpersonal skills, when communicating with team members, HR colleagues and the wide range of staff at all levels representing the diverse workforce within the Trust.
+ Design, deliver and evaluate all Trust Induction programmes, (corporate and bespoke) on a multidisciplinary basis involving a variety of training methods, media and styles tailored to suit staff audiences at all levels.
+ Plan, organise and manage the programme of all Induction training across the Trust.
+ Manage the New Starters Guide to UHSussex and ensure that all Induction information is regularly reviewed via user feedback and updated.
+ Design and develop specialist Induction programmes; e.g. Consultant Induction.
+ Adapt training, sometimes at short notice, to meet operational needs.
+ Provide advice and support to the development of the Volunteer Induction
+ Monitor and review completion of on-line induction and, in consultation with the T&D Administration team, ensure completion of all induction training within 1 month of commencing work in the Trust.
+ Monitor, evaluate, and recommend changes to the programme of Induction in accordance with national requirements and delegate feedback
+ Manage own time effectively to embrace the diverse nature of the work involved in delivering training to meet identified needs, prioritising workload to accommodate unpredictable ad-hoc requests and new initiatives (National and local).
+ Develop innovative training materials, adapting courses to reflect present priorities (both local and National). Ensure content is up-to-date and accurate.
+ Line manage and coach the Lead T&D Administrator, T&D Administrator and T&D Assistant Administrator
+ Oversee and ensure standards are met by Subject Matter Experts and other educational professionals working within the service.
+ Coach and support Subject Matter Experts to enable them to deliver high quality Induction training.
+ Provide and support the development and implementation of innovative learning opportunities throughout the service across the team, including Simulation Fellows and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL).
