Industrial Placement Site Manager

We're looking for a Site Manager student to join our Construction team based Southampton, Hampshire, on an Industrial placement., As an Industrial Placement candidate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects, on time and to the required quality and budget. This role is designed for someone eager to launch a career in construction management. The role will be predominantly site based but may involve some office-based time working with the Kier Pre-Construction team. Your day to day will include:

• Assisting in the overall management and coordination of construction projects from start to finish, including pre-construction.
• Supporting the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Producing short term plans ensuring the project programme remains on track.
• Monitoring project progress, including schedules, costs, and quality control measures.

  We're on the lookout for students undertaking a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field, who have the option or requirement to complete a placement year from 2025 - 2026. After your placement, you'll be returning to university with a graduation year of 2027., Strong interest in construction and project management.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Must hold Full UK Drivers Licence with access to own vehicle.
