Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Infant Feeding Support Worker on a permanent contract for 23 hours a week.

You will need good communication skills, be able to function well as part of a team and be motivated to facilitate changes. We are seeking a capable and experienced infant feeding support worker to complement our existing team which is based on our busy postnatal ward. If you are looking to develop your career and postnatal care is your passion then this is fantastic opportunity. We require the post holder to be enthusiastic, and demonstrate the appropriate competencies for the role, working within the existing multidisciplinary team and have good communication skills on all levels. Previous experience and training in supporting breastfeeding is essential.

You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team working within a centre of excellence for maternity service delivery. We have a busy level three neonatal unit with close links with the other UCLH specialist hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Our maternity unit cares for approximately 6,000 births per year and we have a co-located midwifery led birth centre delivering 1000 births per year. We look after a diverse population of which we offer an individualized service, and we are committed to the promotion of normality and the forefront of innovation.
