Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, proactive applicant with a good knowledge base in infant feeding to be part of a small team, serving both Rochdale and Oldham Care Organisations. As the Infant Feeding Support Worker you will assist in providing feeding support across the childbirth continuum and will contribute to the public health agenda.
No two days are the same in the Infant Feeding service. You will need to be naturally responsive to the changing demands on your priorities and workloads. The post holder will need to be confident enough to assist in driving local change to meet the expectations and standards set by the national programmes.
The role will be cross-site to cover both The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. You will need to be willing to travel flexibly to both sites and to outside events/meetings/visits as and when necessary.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship., + Demonstrate clinical expertise and knowledge with a positive approach to infant feeding across maternity and neonatal units.
+ Offer infant feeding support to women and their families.
+ Support colleagues to manage complex feeding issues.
+ Ensure infant feeding practice/plans are evidence based and is appropriate for each family.
+ Participate in implementing the UNICEF BFI UK programme across maternity and neonatal units (policies, guidelines, audit and training).
