Full Job Description

The post holder will provide clinical leadership and support in all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) to Trust staff, with the assistance of the IPC Nurse Consultant and the team.
They will manage the IPC workload with the Infection Control Nursing team and will be accountable for the daily operational management of the team, as well as for developing the infection control service. This includes ensuring that infection prevention and control policies are current and followed by closely collaborating with staff, demonstrating best practices, offering education and training, conducting mandatory surveillance, and overseeing relevant projects.

The Matron role is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and motivated practitioner who wishes to provide senior leadership and operational management to our Infection Prevention and Control Team. You will form part of an inspirational and motivational team who demonstrate the Trust CARE values through all behaviours and actions, to ensure the best care and experiences are given to our patients and that nurses and care staff practice to the highest standards.
We are looking for a highly experienced, motivated, and dynamic senior nurse who can support our Infection Prevention and Control Team on its ever developing journey to delivering Outstanding Care.
