Full Job Description

The Infection prevention and control team are hiring an Infection Prevention Nurse/Practitioner. As a member of the Integrated Care Trust Infection Prevention Teamthe post holder will support the team inall aspects of health care associated infectionand preventativeactivityand will support clinical colleagues in the identification and management of patients at particular risk of infection and those presenting as a potential risk to others. 1. Reviews current identified community hotspots to enable measures to minimise the spread of infection 1. Facilitates compliance to standardand transmission-basedinfection prevention precautions andparticipatesin the delivery of education and auditing. 1. Follows up anyincidentswithidentifiedongoing community risks 1. Works closely withIPCTand acts on any clinical information shared to manage community incidents and outbreaks 1. Participates in team meetings and contributes to improvement strategies and promotional events. 1. Ensures actions from audit and review are implemented andmonitored.
