Join King Solomon High School

We are seeking to appoint a passionate Informal Jewish Educator who will

  • Lead a programme of events to mark and celebrate Jewish festivals and other important Jewish events such as Yom Ha'atzmaut.

  • Lead optional prayer services.

  • Lead Jewish student leadership programmes.

  • Lead Jewish clubs and extra-curricular programmes

  • Lead Jewish charitable initiatives.

  • Lead a programme of Jewish trips and visits.

  • Develop external partners with other Jewish and inter-faith organisations.

  • Deliver talks and workshops in Jewish Studies lessons


  • This is an exciting time to join the Jewish Studies Department at King Solomon High School as we have a new Deputy Headteacher leading Jewish ethos and personal development. We are at the start of redesigning our formal and informal Jewish education.

    This role is open to teachers and non-teachers and is available as full or part time role. The salary will be agreed with the successful candidate and will be based on experience.

  • Do you have successful experience of youth work (ideally Jewish youth work) of at least 2 years?

  • Do you have a lived experience of the Jewish religion and Jewish observance?

  • Do you have knowledge of what excellent informal Jewish education looks like and experience of delivering informal Jewish education programmes.

  • Do you have a successful track record in engaging young people in Jewish life (or an understanding of how to do this)?

  • Can you work within King Solomon High School's unique Jewish context?
