Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Information, Advice and Support officer within Tameside Family Information Service (FIS).

The post holder will be part of the Education Service. We welcome expressions of interest from staff who are passionate about making a difference for families and communities.,

  • Have a background in administration having developed a wide range of office skills

  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to be sensitive to the needs of the many different families you will come into contact with

  • Work flexibly and be able to prioritise your workload

  • Develop your knowledge of services available to families and visitors to enable you to assist with information, advice and guidance

  • Support the Team Manager in accessing, collating and analysing data in order to meet need

  • Have a good knowledge of early years services for children and families

  • Have an understanding of the free entitlement offer and how to support parents in accessing high quality services locally.
