We now have a self-sustaining population, with over 250 chicks fledged and individuals even breeding in other parts of England and Wales., Founded in 1956, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is the leading wildlife conservation charity working to protect and enhance the wildlife and wild places of Leicestershire and Rutland, and enable nature's recovery locally. We believe Leicestershire and Rutland should be rich in wildlife for the benefit of everyone - with more wildlife, more wild places and more people having a strong connection to nature.
