Full Job Description

We are looking for a full-time officer to join our team that manages complaints and compliments for the council's Children's Services, Adult Social Care, and Public Health Services., This varied and challenging role will provide support to the (Complaints and Data Protection) Team Manager to ensure all complaints and compliments are dealt with appropriately and consistently within statutory and corporate guidance.

You will be the first point of contact for those wishing to make a complaint (which could be on the phone or through email) and will liaise with staff and managers across the organisation determining appropriate action and escalation.

The ability to record information accurately and use this to prepare correspondence, case records and monitoring reports is essential as well as the ability to take minutes of complex meetings.

You will also be required to collate records to support the investigation of complaints and Ombudsman enquiries. A knowledge of Children's Services and / or Adult Social Care would be an advantage, but training and regular supervision will be provided.
