Information Governance Officer

# Develop, implement, and maintain information governance policies and procedures.
# Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR.
# Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate information governance risks.
# Provide training and support to staff on information governance best practices.
# Collaborate across the University to ensure data accuracy, integrity and security
# The ability to review and draft Data Sharing and Processing Agreements and data protection clauses in other contracts.
# Advise the CIO and Executive team on developments in information governance and data protection laws.

# Bachelor's degree in Information Management, IT, Law, or a related field.
# Proven experience in information governance, data protection, or a similar role.
# In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
# Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
# Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
# Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
# Professional certifications in information governance or data protection are desirable.
