Full Job Description

Investigate the RCA for data breaches raised on Datix or as received by the IG team, raise issues as found that may be ICO reportable;
Identify trends / themes from incidents and issue advice and guidance to staff;
Assist with collating and obtaining evidence for the security standards in the Data Security and Protection Toolkit;
Assist with GDPR / DPA2018 advice and guidance to staff;
Lead on facilitating regular tasks within the team which require attention to detail and the ability to identify issues that could result in a personal data breach;
Actively support with IG knowledge with attendance at regular meetings;
Provide cover for the Freedom of Information service facilitated within the IG team;
Assist with writing or reviewing of policies and guidelines as required;
Undertake other duties as appropriate within the team.

The successful candidate will be based at Darent Valley hospital and will be working in the Women, Children, Radiology and Outpatient Division.
The post holder will become involved in a variety of tasks that many IG professionals are very familiar with.
There will be opportunities to become involved with tasks to support the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit and the Trusts IG Audit tool. This role will support and follow up IG expert advice and guidance.
