Full Job Description

To provide Information Governance and Records Management administrative support to the Information Governance and Records Management Department., The main duties are to process access to health records requests from patients, solicitors, police etc.

To deliver a responsive & efficient service, achieving legal deadlines, whilst maintaining proper standards of security & confidentiality.

To be responsible for retrieval, filing, tracking and archiving of health records - on and off site using the electronic tracking system and the offsite records storage system.

To ensure compliance with Data Protection Legislation, the Access to Health Records Act 1990 and Information Governance standards

Working to legal deadlines, prioritising own workload and paying attention to detail are of vital importance. There will be opportunity to undertake a level 3 business administration apprenticeship but this is not mandatory.
