An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead in the provision of key biodiversity data, benefitting wildlife and informing future management, planning and research across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Environmental Records Centre (CPERC) are looking for someone to take on the role of Information Request and Species Data Officer. The primary purpose of the role is managing CPERC's data request service which includes fulfilling data requests from external clients. Additionally, the role involves species data management as well as carrying out project work and other tasks when necessary.
Candidates should possess a keen interest in and commitment to wildlife and environmental issues and ideally experience of biodiversity data management. Strong customer service, data management and GIS skills, including working to a high standard of accuracy and organisation, are essential.
CPERC is hosted by the Wildlife Trust BCN and based at their offices in Cambourne, and as the Local Environmental Records Centre for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is the central source for biodiversity information for the area. We work with a wide range of data users and providers.
Hybrid working may be possible, but weekly office attendance is required. There will also be occasional travel for meetings, training and events across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
To apply please complete an application form. CVs and Cover Letters will not be accepted.
