Full Job Description

The primary purpose of this job is to provide comprehensive support within the information security group, ensuring the organisations resilience against potential threats and incidents.
Department
Formed in 2014 the Information Security Group (ISG) focuses on delivering operational and strategic information and cyber security. The group is independent of IT. Operationally the group is overseen by the Information Security Committee (ISC) and Conduct and Risk Committee (CRC). The global chief information security officer reports into the firm's General Counsel.
ISG's team is based equally across the firm's London and Manchester offices.
Our services are delivered in a way which supports the global nature of our firm and our clients, enables our fee earners to deliver exceptional service to our clients and to do that in a way which is efficient and effective.
Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Support internal security related investigations / leaver monitoring covering:

  • Inappropriate user behaviour

  • Data theft detection

  • Unapproved application usage

  • Ensure security incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedures

  • Identify operational improvements and make recommendations for change

  • Work closely with the business to understand their support needs

  • Triage support calls

  • Provide operational reports to ISG leadership and security governance bodies

  • Support and where possible lead projects and continuous improvement activities

    Understanding of incident response key processes

  • Proven IT operations and project experience

  • Professional services experience

  • Effective communication skills (oral, written and attention to detail)

  • Highly adaptable

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Good log analytics skills
