Would you like to manage and maintain IT Systems & application solutions that play a key role for the council's services?, Rochdale Borough Council are on the hunt for an enthusiastic technical engineer on a temporary basis of 2 years to help transform our systems & applications alongside regular maintenance. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting team of talented engineers who are providing services & support that have a large impact on the way we provide services to the public. Out of hours support may be required but this is on very rare occasions. About you As part of the systems & applications team you will be responsible for the continuous improvement & maintenance of our solutions. You will be working with industry leading technologies. Previous working experience within an IT role is crucial for this role. You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- IT Systems & Applications support
- Acting as a point of contact for 2^nd / 3^rd line support incidents and able to carry out any remedial work in a timely manner to resolve incidents
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex problems
- Change and incident management
- Working with internal & external stakeholders including but not limited to suppliers
- Working with project and incident management tools such as Service Now, Jira, Monday.com
