The Infrastructure Development - Asst Manager (Java Script Developer) role is based within the Worksmart Infrastructure team, which forms part of the Conduct, Risk Underwriting & Customer Support (CRUCS) department. The role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders to lead, develop and deliver changes to the tracSmart application and where required, to manage these through from inception to deployment. It is the opportunity to work with a large network of stakeholders to deliver important outcomes for WPB. The role also involves providing some day-to-day support for end users of these systems.,

  • Managing and supporting delivery of assigned projects and system releases
  • Driving change to secure on-going efficiency improvements, improved quality of service, customer experience and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge on the application we support
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with IT and our third-party vendors to ensure smooth delivery of change requirements.
  • Planning and executing comprehensive functional and user acceptance testing.
  • Analysing and shaping change requests from the business to provide clear, unambiguous requirements to the vendor for development.
  • Providing day to day support to users within Service Level Agreements

    Experience in a Project related role and an understanding of delivering change to Digital products.
  • Hands on development experience with JavaScript - essential
  • Business Analyst skills and experience, including knowledge of requirements gathering techniques.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall - desirable
  • Resource planning capabilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Experience in delivering high quality customer service.
  • Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
  • A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers.
  • An understanding of Excel and Access and SQL.

  • Formal project tools and/or methodology training
  • Promoting pace and energy within the team and leading by example
  • Building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust.
  • Experience of delivering large change within a technology organization, including Infrastructure experience
