Full Job Description

1. Lead and direct the Infrastructure Maintenance delivery team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.

2. Manage development of individuals and the engagement of the team.

3. Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence.

4. Identify and implement safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.

5. Check that work is correctly prioritised and delivered to plan.

6. Check that inspection and maintenance of assets is completed to standards.

7. Check that safety, compliance, performance and business processes are followed.

8. Monitor delivery, productivity and efficiency of maintenance and project work plans.

9. Develop and deliver an annual Business Plan.

10. Manage the process to maintain data quality of business systems.

11. Act as the Designated Competent Person (DCP) for both formal and local investigations and investigate and report on accidents/incidents.

12. Undertake appropriate safety tours, staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks.

13. Discharge the relevant duties assigned to the CDM Client (Network Rail Infrastructure Limited) in accordance with the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.

· Experience in maintenance management, processes, and techniques

· Knowledge of health and safety management and compliance management processes

· Knowledge of business management processes and techniques

· Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures

· Knowledge of operational railway environment

· Knowledge of other functional disciplines

· Knowledge of CDM Regulations

· Knowledge of investigation processes and techniques

· Designated Competent Person (DCP)

· Customer focused.

· Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills.

Desirable

· Degree qualification
