Full Job Description
Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges provide education and training across West London. Our portfolio includes three further education colleges, the West London Institute of Technology, delivering higher technical STEM qualifications and HRUC Apprenticeships & Skills that provide a range of apprenticeships and support for businesses to develop their workforce.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee the design, development and maintenance of the College's IT infrastructure, ensuring it's alignment with HRUC's strategic goals and fostering an environment of innovation, excellence and environmental responsibility.
You will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer, IT Director, Director of Funding and Information Services, the wider IT team and staff across the college, to contribute to the IT strategy and be responsible for the delivery of infrastructure projects. You will provide leadership to the infrastructure team to oversee change control, day to day operations, ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and legal, regulatory and ethical requirements such as safeguarding. You will also research and drive innovation in new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
You will have at least 5 years experience in an IT infrastructure role, preferably within an educational setting, including in depth knowledge of Hyper-V, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Group Policy. You will have hands on knowledge of Azure Services, including resource provisioning, management and optimisation. You will be experienced at configuring, managing and supporting firewalls, switches, Wi-fi, DNS and DHCP, and certificate services, along with automating application deployment using SSCM and InTune. You will also need to possess at least two years experience of leading a team of IT Engineers and have practical experience of managing relationships with outsourced strategic partners.
