Full Job Description

Role: To carry out tool changes and insert changes within the injection moulding department to maintain optimum production, whilst being fully compliant to all corporate and legislative standards and guidelines.,

  • To set injection moulding tools in various machines and achieve high quality parts at the optimum cycle time.
  • Carry out scheduled mould tool changes quickly, efficiently, and effectively to minimise changeover times and machine downtime.
  • Monitoring cycle times against target cycle times on a regular basis, ensuring deviations are identified and rectified in a timely manner.
  • Changing and replenishing raw materials, refilling hopper loaders and day bins as required.
  • How to troubleshoot issues encountered during a production run to maintain the production of good high-quality parts.
  • An understanding of the importance of the first off samples, meeting both visual and dimensional specifications.
  • Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full.
  • Checking quality standards are always achieved by checking the product for defects during the machine start up and making relevant process changes.
  • Conducting material and colour changes as dictated by the production schedule.
  • Setting and adjusting 3 axis and 6 axis robots to remove the mouldings efficiently from the mould tools.
  • Assisting with injection mould tooling maintenance as required.
  • Fault finding and rectifying injection moulding processing problems in a timely manner to maintain quality and minimise scrap levels.

    Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, working 6.00am to 2.00pm, 10.00pm to 6.00am and 2.00pm to 10.0pm on a 3-week rotating basis with half an hour break.
  • Rate of pay: £16.19 per hour
