Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Innovation Project Manager to join our Innovation team in Salford.

Our role

Working alongside internal and external partners to manage delivery of ground-breaking innovation projects that form part of Electricity North West's Network Innovation Allowance (NIA) and Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) portfolio.

As the Innovation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of project delivery, including technical specifications, requirements, production of deliverables and working closely alongside the project manager and external project partners.

  • A minimum of an HNC level qualification in a technical / STEM subject;

  • Experience working in DSO transition within electricity industry (desirable);

  • Experience in the development and delivery of the operation of active network systems on electricity distribution systems and an awareness of IT systems and data flows supporting such systems;

  • Experience in the development or delivery of flexibility services, including technical requirements to enable instruction dispatch and monitoring (desirable);

  • Ideally, experience in the operation of a HV network and experience / familiarity of operational and control systems;

  • Experienced in developing technical requirements and specifications for large innovation projects (desirable);

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present data;

  • Knowledge of the RIIO regulatory framework as it applies to innovation;

  • A full UK driving licence., Any offer made will remain conditional until pre-employment checks are complete to a level deemed satisfactory by Electricity North West.
