Full Job Description
This role is a critical part of the innovation service which has a clear purpose of supporting the Trust's Mission. The role will provide the highest quality innovation advice and project management support across the Trust. It will also proactively contribute to the development and delivery of the Trust's Innovation Plan, in partnership with the shared ambitions of the Velindre Charity. The role is also part of the RD&I senior team and is expected to contribute to the wider goals of the Division, whilst also providing operational cover across the Division, if required., Support the development and delivery of Trust wide innovative project database.
Ensure successful delivery of innovative projects, ensuring the required products are delivered to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
Support the Head of Innovation by ensuring that projects produce results capable of realising benefits.
Responsible for ensuring project timelines are adhered to, robust reporting is in place and risks / issues are managed and escalated where and when appropriate.
The role requires sound judgement in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a professional climate is maintained throughout, despite the time pressure and inevitable challenges.
An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Canva, Miro and Ayoa and be able to maximise the use of technology in making innovative projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Identify and reconcile key stakeholder interest in innovation projects.
Identify, assess, report and prioritise risk associated with innovation projects.
Run the day to day tasks of innovation projects to provide successful outcomes as defined in the scope and the benefits realization documentation
Prepare and complete detailed routine and ad-hoc reports as required.
The role requires a dynamic and highly motivated individual capable of successfully supporting and delivering innovation at Velindre and across the NHS in Wales.
Also required are excellent organisational and communication skills, and a recognised project management qualification, such as Prince2.
