At Leicestershire Partnership Trust we have some exciting brand-new job opportunities across our Mental Health wards as Inpatient Activity Coordinators.

We are seeking dedicated and creative individuals to join our Inpatient Activity Coordinator team throughout our directorate of mental health inpatient services at either Glenfield or Leicester General Hospital sites.

We have a range of opportunities across various wards from Acute adult, Mental Health Services for Older People, Rehabilitation, Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure.

As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will be based on the ward delivering and facilitating 1 : 1 and group activities that will meet a range of needs for our inpatients including physical, mental and social wellbeing.

You will also work closely with the multi-disciplinary team such as Medical, Nursing, Therapy and Psychology staff as well as the Wellbeing and Engagement Officers.

We will consider requests to work alternative hours or varied working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy).

All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.

For all jobs the cost of any DBS disclosure required will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary once started.

Some of the activities you will be supporting with include bingo, art projects , playing games and much more. We are not expecting everyone to know everything in all aspects of the role when applying, but someone who is willing to have fun whilst upskilling themselves would be the ideal candidate!

We have a specialist unit vehicle that we use with our patients and families, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role.

All of these roles cover a 7 day rota including evenings and weekend.
