Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for palliative care?

Do you have the leadership qualities to lead and develop both services and staff on our inpatient unit? Prospect Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with exceptional clinical leadership skills to lead, motivate and inspire the nursing team to achieve the highest standards of end-of-life care.

In a recent staff survey 100% of staff said they would be happy with the standard of care provided if a friend or relative needed treatment and 98% find the work they do has meaning and purpose., As our inpatient unit team leader, you will act as a role model and line manager for our nurses, healthcare assistants and volunteers to provide exemplary patient care.

You will work with the clinical lead and have the peer support of senior clinical leaders across the hospice including our consultant and medical director, clinical nurse specialists and an advanced nurse practitioner and work with these leaders to contribute to shaping pathways of care. You will fulfil a true nursing leadership role ensuring an effective quality nursing service, whilst striving for continuous improvement.

The hospice has a strong local reputation and is committed to ensuring that the people we provide comfort and care for continue to receive an exceptional level of support towards the end of their lives. We also strive to influence and enhance best practice in End of Life Care with other service providers. As a small organisation, we do things differently. Prospect Hospice is an independent hospice supporting a community of 300,000 people in Swindon, Marlborough and North Wiltshire, and the villages of Lechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire.

It is the only dedicated provider of specialist end of life care services within it's locality. The Hospices multi-professionals teams support people in the community, in care homes, at the Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. Care is also extended to the families and friends of patients.
