Our specialist school in Bromley is searching for a compassionate and creative KS1 Class Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive team. Role Overview: As a KS1 Class Teacher in our specialist school, you will work with children who have a diverse range of special educational needs (SEND). Your role will involve designing and delivering engaging, personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's individual requirements. You'll play a vital role in fostering their academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they feel valued and confident.,

  • Develop and deliver creative, inclusive lessons tailored to meet the needs of KS1 students with SEND.
  • Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate various learning abilities and styles.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help all students fully participate and achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with parents, support staff, and external professionals to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching strategies to ensure success.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a consistent and cohesive approach to teaching and learning.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching in primary education, with prior experience in SEN environments highly desirable.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching style that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies for students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
