Full Job Description

The Installation Analyst will support the project with weather downtime assessment and other offshore installation data analysis tasks. The main responsibilities are:

  • To have a key role in the planning, execution and management of the project's installation
  • strategy and sequence.
  • To provide technical support regarding weather downtime analysis to all project packages with
  • offshore installation content.
  • To provide technical support regarding metocean analysis to the project.
  • To provide input for the installation strategy with regards to preferred methods, definition of
  • contractual milestones, optimum commencement dates…
  • Monitoring and adaption of the installation strategy as required.
  • Evaluation and monitoring of method statements and marine spreads for offshore activities in
  • terms of endurance, weather down time and compliance with the project's programme (programme compliance evaluation).
  • Support for planning of various offshore activities as required.
  • Support to project construction phases with routine updates to milestone completion projections
  • taking into account actual activity durations and assessing float on components to be installed.
  • Coordination of the interfaces related to the installation programme, installation sequence and
  • metocean analysis.
  • To collaborate in the project's logistics planning and management.
  • To collaborate in the general project activities as required, especially in those related to offshore
  • operations, installation, shipping (marine transport), metocean, weather monitoring and forecast, etc.
  • To work in accordance to SPR's policies and procedures, including the required liaison with SPR
  • personnel and activities beyond EA Hub project.
  • To support the execution of the project in various technical and management tasks, as required.
  • Production of regular reports.
  • Implementation of offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices and quality requirements.
  • Participation in market engagement processes.
  • Understanding of EA1N project, familiarization with relevant data.
  • Probabilistic estimation of the duration of installation activities at a location, by calculating
  • Weather Downtime, using the company's models for weather risk assessment.
  • Assessment of the risk profile of installations operations
  • To collaborate in the coordination, definition and adaption of the project's installation sequence.
  • Monitoring and update the project's Installation Strategy in order to minimize risks.
  • Analysis of production and installation stocks and safety buffers. Definition of minimum
  • requirements.
  • Identification of critical operations within an installation method.
  • To provide information on vessel utilization times for cost estimates.
  • To provide input for the definition and optimisation of installation sequences.
  • Identification, evaluation and estimation of projects' risks.
  • Production of reports regarding all tasks assigned.
  • Technical support to the execution of the contracts.
  • Managing the interfaces of the installation programme/sequence.
  • Liaising with the packages in charge of manufacturing and delivery.
  • Liaising with all the internal stakeholders involved in Metocean. Ensure the consistent use of the
  • project's information, and its correct communication to contractors.
  • Support to any general project activity as required, especially to those related to offshore
  • operations, installation, shipping (marine transport), metocean, weather monitoring and forecast, contractors' daily reports etc.
  • Interaction with the different areas of the project (especially installation engineers, vessel
  • managers, ports engineer) for the planning, monitoring and execution of the logistics activities.
  • Risk management in regards to the installation programme/sequence.
  • Scoping consultancy and engineering works required by the project, including supervision.
  • Provide general support during contract negotiations and execution on logistics and metocean
  • issues.
  • To work in accordance to SPR's policies and procedures, including the required liaison with SPR
  • personnel and activities beyond EA1N project.
  • Production of regular reports for the project.
  • Collaborate as required in technical, management and administration activities for the project.

    Advanced knowledge of metocean conditions, statistics and weather down time.
  • Advanced user of MatLab and Python.
  • Engineering degree, preferably Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture.
  • MSc with relevant content on metocean conditions or offshore wind energy.
  • Experience in planning offshore activities and shipping.
  • Experience in metocean analysis.
  • Skills on Office software packages.
  • Proven ability to work in a team and contractors environment.
  • Workload management to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.
  • Additional experience that will be positively assessed:
  • o Experience in a similar role. o Technical knowledge on heavy lifting, port and marine operations. o Experience in production of specifications and tender documents. o Understanding of construction and offshore installation method statements. o Understanding of risk management. o Contract management related to Weather Downtime. o Awareness of Marine Warranty Surveyor Guidelines. o Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to maritime operations. o Knowledge of European legislation with regards to ports, marine and offshore operations. o Skills on CAD and GIS software.

    It is contract role approved for 12 months (inside IR35) paying competitive rates.
