We're forming a new specialised Learning Studio to work alongside our existing team of Learning Consultants, Solution Architects, Designers and Facilitators. This is an exceptional opportunity to create learning solutions for our Data Academy, to provide a comprehensive learning that addresses the evolving needs of our industry. With a focus on data literacy and analytics, we aim to empower our employees with the skills necessary to excel in a data-driven environment. We need an experienced Instructional Designer who can support the Learning Studio team and Data Academy in designing and delivering learning solutions to enhance learner capabilities. Responsibilities include being reliable in design and delivery, following digital learning creation processes, engaging in stakeholder management, content development and managing projects to ensure timely delivery. You should be ready to engage fully, work collaboratively and support less experienced designers in achieving their potential. Your role will be crucial in driving the future of learning at Admiral, combining innovation, teamwork and a commitment to excellence. Core responsibilities The main aim of the role is to develop impactful and engaging learning for the talent in our business. The responsibilities of an instructional designer are to:
- Work closely with Business Partners and Stakeholders to ensure the correct learning solution is developed from the vision and scope.
- Design creative solutions using powerful visuals, backed by good UX and UI.
- Ensure consistently high standards are met on all designs.
- Use interactive and engaging methods of delivery of content with measurable outcomes.
- Maintain a close working relationship with designers, developers, and facilitators to ensure that the output meets requirements.
- Apply adult learning theories, tools, and software to all solutions.
- Participate in media development, including the use of tools such as Articulate and film production.
- Conduct learning needs analysis to identify the training requirements of the target audience.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop course content that aligns with business goals and objectives.
- Implement evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of learning materials, with a focus on visual design and learner engagement., The Instructional Designer will report into the Learning Studio Manager
- The Instructional Deisgner will work closely with Learning Designers, Learning Facilitators, Digital Media Developers, Learning Solution Architect, Learning Managers, Learning Support Team and Head of Talent Acquisition and Development.
A strong knowledge in Data, particularly in the application of data analysis and interpretation to enhance instructional design and learning outcomes. - Responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to inform the development of engaging and effective instructional materials and courses.
- Proven experience in working with large datasets, utilising data visualisation tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed instructional design decisions.
- Strong graphic design capabilities
- Learning gamification, leader boards, chat bots, sims, live feeds development is highly desirable
- Up to date with new tech learning trends and options
- Adult learning knowledge and experience
- Technical expertise in a range of Digital software tools and technologies (Storyline, Rise, Adobe Suite, CornerStone LMS) etc
- Sees things from start to end; having drive to finish projects to a high standard
- Ability to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines
- UI/UX Experience
- Curiosity for learning and discovering new or improved approaches and tools.
- Responsive learning design
- Multimedia design and production is a plus including video, animation preferable
- High level of attention to detail
- Work to tight deadlines and prioritise a variety of work demands
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate's experience.
