Full Job Description

Are you someone with excellent organisational skills who is passionate about supporting the population of Colchester and Tendring? We have an exciting opportunity here at the north east Essex Health & Wellbeing Alliance, which could be of interest to you.

The north east Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance are looking for an organised and creative individual to join their team. The post holder will work closely with Integrated Care Managers, Officers and Directors to deliver integrated care programmes, work collaboratively with local partners, to address our key priorities.

You will need to be highly organised, practical, reliable and efficient and have a flexible approach to the role; working on your own initiative as well as working effectively as part of the wider Alliance team. Duties will include proactive forward planning, fielding emails and telephone calls, management of complex calendars, meeting management (agenda setting, distribution of paperwork according to an established timetable, high quality minute taking and follow-up of actions). You will also be required to communicate well and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues., Provide administrative and secretarial support as required.

Receive and deal with incoming telephone calls, taking messages or relaying information as required.

Take accurate notes and minutes at formal meetings (both internal and external to the ICB) as required, presenting the minutes in a professional format to given timescales.

Work flexibly, providing annual leave/sickness cover for other teams as required.

Support the team in the achievement of objectives and monthly reporting.

Provide admin and clerical support as required at committee and executive group meetings.

The NHS Suffolk and North-East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) plans and buys healthcare services for our population. This function is commonly referred to as commissioning. To do this, we work within a budget of around £1.5 billion, which is set by NHS England, and work closely with local government and the NHS providers in our area. Our performance is judged by how well our local health and care system as a whole is working, including the health outcomes of our communities. The ICB has delegated some authority to the three health and wellbeing alliances that operate in Suffolk and North-East Essex to act on its behalf. This is to ensure that the needs of smaller, local areas are addressed. The ICB remains accountable for all of its functions, including those it has delegated. Local residents have a big role to play in the operation of the ICB. We rely on the experiences and perspectives of our communities to help shape our decision-making.
