Do you have a positive approach to work and enjoy the challenge of a busy role?
Integration & Partnership officers play a key and integral role in ensuring people arriving in the UK as part of one of the Government's schemes, and allocated to Doncaster, are able to settle quickly and safely in the borough.

Duties include working within a team that supports clients to integrate and have a positive impact as a citizen of Doncaster as quickly as possible. You will have a specific remit to assist people to:

  • Find their own accommodation

  • Access Education, Training & Employment opportunities; and

  • Assess any additional issues, making appropriate referrals where necessary.

  • You will bring a positive attitude and a willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the client to ensure that interventions are made at the earliest opportunity to prevent the escalation of issues.

We are particularly interested in people who have experience of assisting people with finding accommodation in the Private Rented Sector, working in partnership with other agencies such as the DWP and NHS, and developing and/or supporting services within the Voluntary and Community Sector.

The posts will have a focus on the Government's Family Reunion scheme, and it would be useful for applicants to have knowledge of the scheme and, where possible, have experience of working with families who have applied to the scheme.

Although based at the Civic Office, you will also be required to travel across the borough to support VCS groups providing activities and support for clients in outlying areas.

The work is demanding but rewarding, and other team members are always willing to offer their support. Initially, you will work shadow other team members to gain experience of the processes and issues dealt with. The team has 2 Coordinators who will support you and who will deal with any issues which require escalation.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive. You will also have access to a variety of attractive employee benefits including competitive leave entitlement, a generous local government pension scheme, a wide range of well-being support and development opportunities. You will also have access to a range of staff discount and benefits schemes. More information on the benefits available to you as a City of Doncaster Council employee can be found in the attached benefits book.
