Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Intelligence Analyst in Major Crime. In this role, you will be required to work within Major Incident Rooms to provide high-level analytical support to senior operational police officers.

The successful applicant will be able to use analytical techniques to create intelligence products to inform relevant strategic and tactical planning to the standard defined within the National Intelligence Model. Whilst providing an efficient and effective service to support managerial, operational and investigative decision making.

Please note this role is Hybrid working with a split of 40% office 60% home working. Some travel to the Incident Rooms in Taplow and HQ North will be required, therefore the successful applicant must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner. Thames Valley Police will allow applicants to apply who do not necessarily reach the criteria as long as they have proven UK residency and supporting evidence where necessary.
