Full Job Description

We're looking for an Intelligence Coordinator to join our Claims and Fraud department in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. You'll undertake general administration duties for Counter Fraud Services department in a timely manner and responsible for the management of external data requests submitted under the Data Protection Act for the prevention and detection of crime. This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week with hybrid working available of 1 day in the office and 4 days from home after an initial training period in the office.,

  • Logging and triaging incoming work for the SIU team (such as DPA requests and research reports)
  • Responding to Data Protection Act requests made under Schedule 2, Part 1, Paragraph 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018 for fraud prevention and detection purposes.
  • Producing written witness statements for criminal prosecutions, with attendance at court where required.
  • Management of a fraud intelligence repository, to include data input, quality, retention and disposal, referring to the Fraud Team Leader as necessary.
  • Loading intelligence data to relevant industry fraud databases.
  • Assist with policy/claims reviews and basic analysis, identifying and referring suspect claims and policies to the relevant Counter Fraud Teams.
  • Monitoring and recording daily declines from fraud databases and escalation to the Intelligence Manager where appropriate.
  • Working basic IFB (Insurance Fraud Bureau) reports and providing feedback to the IFB as required.
  • Undertake desktop research and produce written research reports if required.
  • Maintaining the SIU team's policy and claim referral records, ensuring data is updated and accurate.
  • Respond and triage emails sent to the Intelligence team, directing them to the relevant Intelligence Analysts.
  • Conduct DVLA Keeper checks using the KADOE system on behalf of Claims and Fraud teams.
  • Provide support to the Intelligence Analysts and Fraud Team Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial crime procedures and related policies.
  • Meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets.
  • To adhere to and consider all regulatory requirements at all times, including TCF, DPA and AML.
  • To be compliant with health and safety policies at all times.
  • To ensure compliance with Company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.

  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in data collection and analysis is critical to avoid errors that could impact decisions Problem solving: You'll have the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions Analytical: Ability to analyse a variety of data and identify patterns and insights,
  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Previous experience in the motor insurance industry an advantage
  • Experience of working in a fraud environment (Desirable)
  • Some knowledge of fraud intelligence handling practices
  • Basic understanding of all aspects of motor insurance
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF) and the regulatory framework relating to general insurance., Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Good report writing skills.
