Full Job Description

You'll manage our intelligence department consisting of experienced fraud team leaders, intelligence analysts and co-ordinators who work with other claims counter fraud teams to identify and validate policies or claims that have been identified as having suspicious activity. Validation of these policies and claims ensure that customers are protected and our business doesn't pay fraud. Other duties you'll take on are being responsible for the identification and implementation of changes and improvements for the team from triaging, reviewing procedures and making workstreams better. You'll ensure all intelligence received is accurately recorded and processed correctly, highlighting any training requirements for the team to ensure colleagues are progressing well in their role.

What's involved:

  • Management of the Specialist Investigations Unit (SIU), with 3 teams across Haywards Heath and Manchester.

  • Responsible for delivery against SIU KPIs and objectives.

  • Relationship management of new and existing fraud suppliers and professional bodies such as the IFB.

  • Monitoring of market trends and identifying new opportunities to enhance Counter Fraud detection and prevention.

  • Working closely with other Claims Counter Fraud Managers and key stakeholders across the business.

  • Enhancing Counter Fraud Controls across Point of Quote, Point of Sale, Post-sale and Claims.

  • Supporting the delivery and development of counter fraud software and SIU related projects and initiatives.

  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and driving efficiencies.

  • Responsibility to ensure that all intelligence received is accurately recorded, correctly and professionally processed.

    Previous leadership experience within Intelligence (essential) ideally within the motor insurance industry.

  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and driving efficiencies.

  • Strong knowledge of claims fraud and organised application fraud.

  • Stakeholder management, specifically at customer facing and senior management levels.

  • Experience with market leading intelligence systems and techniques (iovation, Criff / CueExperian, GGB etc…)

  • Extensive experience with ghost broking fraud and other claims fraud types., Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication skills and ability to present to stakeholders and Senior Management.

  • Strong organisational, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Performance driven.

  • Emotional Intelligence.

  • Ability to lead a team and inspire colleagues.

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Degree or relevant experience (desirable)

  • ACFS / ACFTEch or equivalent (desirable)
