Full Job Description
· Visiting clients on a weekly basis
· Offering a range of support to help maintain tenancies
· Monitoring health and safety requirements
· Working closely with the housing and maintenance departments
· Assessing new clients to the service
· Liaising with external agencies
· Covering for other staff as required, 1. Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all accommodation and sundry charges payable by tenants for St Anne's properties are collected and balanced efficiently.
2. Responsible for maximising income to both landlords and tenants by liaison with the Benefits Agency and other appropriate agencies.
3. Responsible for providing basic advice and assistance on entitlement to Welfare Benefits.
4. Responsible for requisitioning from the relevant St Anne's department new goods and replacement equipment in St Anne's properties using the list of approved suppliers.
5. Responsible for ensuring tenants receive a level of support appropriate to their needs to maintain their accommodation, in accordance with the current Philosophy of Care, Code of Practice of St Anne's Community Services and current legislative and regulatory standards. This will be provided through individual client support plans using an appropriate support planning model and will include helping with access to other support providers as needed.
6. Responsible for promoting tenant participation in the management of their accommodation.
7. Responsible for maintaining accurate and appropriate records relating to property, organisational and tenant issues.
8. Responsible for promoting positive relationships between tenants, assisting tenants to be good neighbours and promoting adequate standards of cleanliness of properties and grounds.
9. Responsible for investigating and resolving minor breaches of tenancy including allegations of anti-social behaviour.
10. Responsible for health and safety inspections of housing stock, including fire risk assessments, in line with current legislation and best practice
11. Responsible for ensuring repairs are reported to St Anne's Maintenance department through the agreed reporting procedure.
12. Responsible for communicating effectively within the workplace, the team and the organisation.
13. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective links within your team, other organisations, agencies and workers.
14. Responsible for ensuring that your service has access to and uses the best current thinking and practice in the delivery of these services.
15. Responsible for ensuring that you and your staff adhere to established Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
16. Responsible for ensuring all administration duties are completed accurately and promptly.
17. Responsible for assisting the manager with administrative duties.
18. Responsible for ensuring that as an individual and as part of a team resources are used appropriately and all reasonable steps are taken to avoid energy wastage.
19. Responsible for managing your time and your workload efficiently and effectively. Ensuring that your movements are communicated to the Manager in line with the Lone Working policy.
20. Responsible for engaging in the PDR process and take responsibility for your learning and development needs.
21. Responsible for taking on any new duties required by the service appropriate to your position.
