Full Job Description

With a turnover of £13m, we are a national charity with 240 staff working across the UK. Specifically, this role will have responsibility for c.140 staff, a budget of c.£8m and will lead the delivery of all our veteran facing services and support, maximising our reach, responsiveness and effectiveness.,

  • Lead the delivery of all Combat Stress veteran facing services and support, ensuring that these maximise reach and effectiveness; evaluate both current and future performance in a way that ensures the changing needs of veterans are kept under review and met most effectively through the delivery of services. Lead or support the implementation of the clinical strategy or transformational changes as defined by the Charity's Executive Leadership Team or recommendations from the Clinical Governance Committee with the approval by the Board of Trustees. Provide the operational perspective on the delivery design elements of new services, recognising and realising opportunities for external funding or partnerships as appropriate. Lead the delivery of safe care and support services to veterans in line with funding targets and specified performance indicators and service outcomes. Ensure that existing services are monitored in line with safe practice standards and KPIs and are subject to

  • continuous improvement.
  • Provide professional practice lead for the clinical and non-clinical workers in the workforce, ensuring that appropriate devolved systems are in place to address identified shortcomings in performance or conduct and that staff benefit from continuous professional development. Jointly with the Medical Director ensure that effective quality standards are established and take responsibility for their delivery across all directorate services in compliant.

    Combat Stress is the UK's leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we've been helping former service personnel deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.
