Full Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into their first management role or for an experienced manager who wishes to take a change in direction and who can take the service forward with enthusiasm and a passion for continuous quality improvement.

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent assessment and risk management skills who is able to embrace and drive change and innovation.

We are looking for a skilled and intuitive communicator with experience of providing leadership. You will work directly with the Operational Manager and Clinical Matron who will provide support, development and direction alongside other leadership colleagues.

You will know the importance of providing high quality supervision and of working together with staff and the wider management team in providing supportive, effective and coordinated leadership to the team in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users and carers.,

  • RN/RNLD/ RNA

  • Current registration with NMC

  • Evidence of management or leadership training

  • Minimum 3 years post registration experience


  • Desirable criteria

  • Teaching/ training expereience


  • Knowledge and communication skills

    Essential criteria

  • Recognises and reflects on barriers to effective communication, modifying communication in response

  • Ability to chair meetings effectively.

  • Demonstrate the ability to produce reports e.g., related to complaints, investigations, SIs, audits etc., Ability to manage complex situations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and critically analyze data, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
