Full Job Description

Our Interim Treasury Consultant will be at the forefront of transforming Sage's banking infrastructure across the UK, Europe, Canada, and the Asia Pacific regions. This role focuses on streamlining a fragmented banking environment by consolidating it into a select group of strategic relationship banks. You will lead the migration of all banking processes related to collections, disbursements, and payroll into these newly established banking structures, ensuring operational efficiency and a seamless transition across multiple regions., In this role, you will actively identify opportunities to streamline and enhance processes within our Shared Service Centre and Payroll teams, aiming to deliver both time and cost savings. You'll maintain a clear view of banking costs, proposing cost-reduction strategies that align with the broader objectives of process improvement.

A key focus will be ensuring that physical or notional cash pooling structures are effectively implemented to centralise cash within treasury entities for investment or redistribution across the group. You'll also work to maximise the capabilities of the Treasury Management System (Coupa) to enhance reporting and drive operational efficiencies.

While the selection of banking providers in each region is already established, your role will be pivotal in optimising their integration and performance across the business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading banking consolidation projects, specifically related to migrating collections, disbursements, and payroll functions. You should possess a proven track record of providing thought leadership in establishing world-class banking structures, particularly for large organisations with Sage's scale and ambition. Strong technical expertise in banking products, processes, file transmissions, and other technical aspects of banking consolidation is essential.

You will also have the ability to manage administrative requirements such as KYC, internal governance processes, and bank documentation. A deep understanding of how to implement robust control environments and secure Assurance/Controls buy-in is critical to success in this role.

Additionally, you must demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior sponsors, the wider finance team, legal & Co-sec, IT and commercial as well as managing banking relationships and expectations. A hands-on approach is required, as this is a stand-alone position where you will lead and action the detailed work needed to ensure the successful delivery of the project, with some support from the team in specific areas.

The successful candidate will be required to work from the office 3 days a week (Tuesdays/Thursdays + 1 other). This position is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.,
