Full Job Description
The Integrated Commissioning Team for Waltham Forest is dedicated to enhancing the health and social care outcomes for residents. This dynamic team manages both social care and health commissioning responsibilities for the area. We currently have an exciting vacancy within our quality team. As the health and social care system evolves, commissioning plays a crucial role in transforming the system, ensuring continuous development, and delivering value for money. As a Supply Quality Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance and contractual standards of various Adult Social Care suppliers. Your goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and safe services that yield positive outcomes for Waltham Forest residents and the Council. Your duties will include conducting both planned and unplanned monitoring visits, sometimes in coordination with other system partners such as Safeguarding and Health colleagues. You will also write reports reflecting these visits, identifying areas for improvement and risk, and managing this process while keeping system partners informed of the outcomes. These visits may take place locally in Waltham Forest as well as in and out of London, as required.,
- Substantial experience of managing strategically important contracts, delivering
- improvements in services for users and cost savings and demonstrable commercial intelligence
Substantial experience of relationship management, including providing robust challenge and working with providers to deliver improvements - Knowledge and experience of operating in a complex local authority, or similar, environment
- An excellent understanding of good practice in contract management Ability to manage, interpret and present large amounts of performance and other data from providers, highlighting key messages and areas of strength and weakness
- Excellent ICT skills, including the ability to full utilise Microsoft Office products, particularly
- Excel (essential) and Access (desirable)
- Experience in financial management
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
