We make health happen As an Analyst you will be responsible for working within the Group Internal Audit team to provide independent and objective assurance to senior management, the Board and the Audit Committee on the management, control and governance processes. You will be working with the Audit Managers, Senior Analysts and Analysts to assist Bupa in achieving its strategic goals by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of these processes; and undertake special project work as agreed by the Audit Director, Head of Internal Audit or Chief Audit Officer. Day to day you will be delivering our assurance work, Internal Audit team, by suggesting changes to decrease risk, cost and increase control in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology, processes and procedures. Identifying control weaknesses and opportunities for control improvement, providing appropriate findings to a high standard. You'll help us make health happen through:

  • Undertaking assurance work, and other ad-hoc assignments, as directed by the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of audit delivery by identification of improvements in the audit delivery approach.
  • Embedding the use of data analytics in audits as and when appropriate.
  • Making use of visuals based on data in the audit reporting phase.
  • Identifying potential risk and potential audits for input into planning process.
  • Contributing to audit planning, fieldwork and reporting and file closure following GIA Audit Methodology, processes and procedures and delivery of high-quality work products.
  • Managing operational aspects of assurance work.
  • Seeking to improve personal performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.

    Prepared to work towards a professional qualification Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, PIIA, CMIIA or equivalent) if from the UK or equivalent overseas qualification.
  • A good educational record up to and including degree level (2nd class or above).
  • Sound knowledge of risk management and audit principles and an understanding of audit philosophy, methods and techniques e.g. flowcharting, interviewing, presentation. Internal audit experience desired.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Previous experience of 1) the Insurance industry (preferably PMI) or 2) Healthcare provision industry would be an advantage.
