Join us as an Internal Communications Lead at AstraZeneca UK, where you will be instrumental in developing and implementing internal communication strategies that foster a sense of pride, connection, and activation among our employees. This role is more than just communications; it's about supporting impactful activities for employee engagement and being a key point of contact for employees across the board. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Affairs and HR Director, you will have the opportunity to engage with members from across the Senior Leadership Team., As an Internal Communications Lead, you will be responsible for developing an internal communications strategy that aligns with external corporate communications. You will coordinate internal events, ensure effective dissemination of key updates, support Employee Resource Groups, contribute to employee engagement strategies, and maintain alignment between external and internal narratives. You will also support UK specific crisis management plans and procedures.

  • Senior executive and internal communications experience

  • Strong digital communications experience across both social media and websites

  • Experience in leading reputation matters, issues and crisis management

  • Understanding of NHS Policy and the UK political landscape and processes

  • Proven ability of influencing colleagues and senior leaders

  • Self-starter with evidence of capability for matrix and cross-functional working

  • Ability to delegate and manage 3rd parties effectively

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise accordingly

  • Pharmaceutical Industry Experience

  • Events management experience

  • Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience

  • UK market experience

  • Understanding of ABPI code
