Full Job Description

Internal Communications Manager, As an Internal Communications Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Contributing to the production and delivery of the communications plan and strategy.
  • Driving employee engagement by creating engaging content for our internal communications channel, Your Kier, our bi-weekly On the Move newsletter and business update calls.
  • Contributing to the organisation and coordination of our internal events, including our Leaders' Workshop and employee roadshows.
  • Working alongside our business functions (safety, sustainability, people, operations, quality, commercial and IT), senior leaders and our project teams to provide strategic counsel and internal communications support, including for project mobilisations.
  • Collaborating with our external communications manager on day-to-day communications and campaigns, ensuring they target both internal and external audiences.

    Relevant experience in a similar role, such as internal communications, public affairs, customer relations or stakeholder liaison.
  • Effective writing skills, with the ability to take complex information and make it easy to understand and accessible to our people.
  • A collaborative approach and a strong strategic thinker with experience of creating and delivering internal communications strategies.
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to form productive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Able to work effectively and build positive working relationships with senior leaders, providing counsel and guidance on communication activities
