Full Job Description

This role sits in the newly created Communications and External Affairs Directorate. The directorate is responsible for all the charity's external facing work including communications, brand, campaigns, public affairs and policy work., The charity is going through significant change due to the ending of funding contracts and the implications of new legislation. We are therefore investing in internal communications with this critical role. The key responsibility will be to play a leading role in developing our internal communications strategy and delivering it, managing the Senior Internal Communications Officer and liaising effectively across the directorate and the wider organisation at all levels. Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the internal communications function. We are committed to the wellbeing of our people and also to open, transparent and innovative internal communications. The postholder will lead this work, working closely with closely with colleagues across the charity including the Senior Management Team. This will include being responsible for activity across a number of different communications channels.
  • Lead change communications. The postholder will take responsibility for developing and delivering a change communications programme across internal and external communications to support transformation projects. This will include effective communication of organisational priorities, external pressures on our services and influencing work and new service models coming out of our services strategy., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter.
