Full Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Control Manager, the key purpose of this role is to help ensure that the Group has a fully documented and scalable control framework.

What you'll be doing...

  • Reach out to several departments to understand and document their processes, then recommend and assist with improvements and controls that need to be implemented.

  • Maintain Finance Incident Reporting and track remediation actions have been implemented.

  • Build on the above, support planning and readiness for the UK Corporate Governance Code changes impacting controls.

  • Work with Internal Audit to ensure an understanding between the 2 functions and to share respective expertise and business knowledge. Follow up from each internal audit report to ensure corrective action is designed and implemented.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet controls including the preparation of the balance sheet analytical review to ensure movements are understood and the collection and secondary review of balance sheet reconciliations.

    Strong academic background with a grounding in finance

  • Knowledge of using Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Google Sheets/docs

  • Finance and controls knowledge to improve the Group's control environment

  • Experience presenting
