Full Job Description
Our Finance Department is expanding, and we have an opportunity for an Internal Controls Accountant to join EG Group. As part of the 'Finance Process & Controls' team, you will be a critical part in helping EG Group to bring control, quality, standardisation, and improved ways of working. Having grown rapidly in recent years, largely through a series of acquisitions, EG Group has inherited several different processes and systems from its acquired companies. The Internal Controls Accountant will play a vital role in measuring the performance of Finance Controls to ensure that processes follow agreed controls within set monthly cycles using KPI to measure compliance across various departments. This role will have significant impact across Finance and the wider business. Reporting into the Head of Finance Process and Controls, you will work alongside existing BAU team members in management accounts and the shared services transactional team to understand pain points and create solutions that can be maintained long term. - Perform comprehensive document reviews to ensure that internal controls are followed in accordance with company established guidelines, policies & procedures.
- Conduct workshops to increase the level of awareness across the organization.
- Maintain a database for Internal Control recommendations and change management.
- Conduct periodical control assessment and monitoring other department self-assessment and assure that operating risks are mitigated and report deficient or ineffective controls.
- Manage, review, and maintain corporate control documents.
- Oversee the development of the Management Guide and Operational Manuals
- Support implementation of risk controls for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
Experience and knowledge of Finance Controls - IT literate, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Happy working with data and people.
- Have an inventive and pro-active mind-set to independently identify and resolve data related issues.
- Experience with Power BI / SAP S4 Hana - Desirable
