Full Job Description
We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join the Southeast Staffordshire Rehabilitation Team based at Samuel Johnson Hospital, Lichfield. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Specialist Nurses providing intervention to adults within the Burntwood, Lichfield and Tamworth locality., You will be required to: Work on your own as a registered practitioner within the established multidisciplinary team, you will undertake a Community Physiotherapist role for the South East Staffordshire Community Rehabilitation Service. You will be expected to assess, identify, and agree goals and treatment plans using diagnosis and evidence-based treatment programmes to meet a wide variety of patient needs in the most appropriate location in the community e.g. patients' own homes, clinics, and care homes. The role will involve supporting the team to provide training to carers, care agencies and other external partners on an ad hoc basis at the request of Operational and/or Clinical Leads. The post holder will hold responsibility for their own caseload and will be required to work without direct supervision. They will undertake regular supervision and training of rehabilitation assistants and supervise, educate, and assess the performance of Physiotherapy students.
