Full Job Description

By providing administration support to the Community Safety team, you will be playing a key role supporting the Council and partners through the Safer and Stronger Communities Strategic Partnership, to fulfil their responsibilities to residents and the community.

What will you be doing?

  • It will be your responsibility to provide administration support to the CCTV Officer and the Community Safety team, ensuring work carried out is efficient and procedures are effectively implemented.


  • You will act as a main point of contact for the service area, providing effective communication when dealing with enquiries and information requests.

  • It will be key for you to collate and maintain records, to ensure accurate statements are produced and data is retrieved from computerised systems correctly.

  • You will interact with customers, colleagues and partners to maintain strong working relationships.

    It is essential you hold a minimum of 3 GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) including English and Maths, or can demonstrate an equivalent level of skills and experience.


  • Ideally you will have experience working in a community safety environment, with knowledge of community safety issues, but this is not essential.

  • You must be able to search and retrieve information from a case management system and other sources and have experience with MS Word and Excel.

  • Given the elements of this role, you will strong administrative skills and have the confidence to work on your own initiative.
