Full Job Description

We are seeking expressions of interest from Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers within Prospere Learning Trust for a temporary secondment opportunity. The succesful candidate will commence a 1-year secondment on 1 January 2025, working 2-days per week (FTE) as Strategic Lead for Quality of Education. For the remainder of the week you will continue in your substantive role. The main purpose of this role is:

  • To provide strategic leadership and expertise across the Trust in curricula innovation, effective learning design and quality enhancement which is clearly underpinned by research and evidenced based practice.
  • To design and implement a pro-active and targeted approach to develop effective leadership for professional development entitlement with a clear focus on effective design, implementation, quality review and evaluation.
  • To facilitate the delivery of high quality subject specific CPD on subject knowledge, pedagogy and pedagogical content through the effective development of our curriculum networks.
  • To effectively identify the strengths of all our schools within the Trust and utilise these collectively to develop a common framework and approach for professional development design, innovation, quality enhancement and quality assurance.
  • To provide expertise and support in schools, as required, contributing to the development of a holistic understanding of our pupils and their needs, ensuring that excellence and high standards are attained across all areas of our schools by maximising potential through the skills and resources within the wider Academy Trust.
  • To enable students to achieve their potential, facilitating a positive learning environment for all pupils, ensuring appropriate systems are in place to identify and meet learner needs, reducing barriers to learning and maximising success.
